No thats not it.Have super awesome and shocking tricks..I don't need to relate to

them, they should relate to me.They should pay attention to me because im

performing astonishing card tricks not some stupid mathematical card trick.

And If they hired me is for a reason,To show them my awesome card tricks, not to

connect with them. But hey If you want to connect go to the bar.

I know what your saying, You are there to entertain and amaze not "connect" with them. Why the bar?

Have fun never making it as a professional.

Stay connected.

i gotta go with steerpike with this one. your audience is paying or watching a performance not a trick. they want to be brought in and feel something. you cant do that without connecting. you have to give a little bit of yourself to get anything in return from the people your performing for.

Really? So your Tricks were *** then, When I perform they only talk about my

effects,Its all about the Effects.. enough' said.Did I mention I'm Hilarious and

charismatic?I have a perfect pass too

sorry i disagree. look at david blaine, he does some of the simplest tricks out there not crazy kung fu, ultra risky insane never before things, but simple old routines, but he connects with his audience and makes them believe with that connection and as a result he is one of the greatest magicians out there. its more than just the tricks you know its the way you present them and the way you interact. also, anyone that has to exult themself like that, in my experience, are usually a little conceited and un-aware of how people really think of them

Are you BrianationX?

i laughed really hard at that. i saw the similarities too

Let me tell you a little story.

A mentor of mine went to see Penn and Teller in Vegas. I'm sure we can all agree that Penn and Teller are awesome. Anyway, after every show, both men go into the lobby and hang out with the entire audience. They don't leave until they and the theater staff are the last ones in the building.

On this particular night, the ushers blocked the path between Teller and a group of fans saying, "Everyone line up single file. Don't crowd the man."

Teller interrupted them, saying, "Hey... Copperfield would make these people line up to see him. [Screw] that. These people are my friends. Let 'em through."

P&T have a loyal fanbase precisely because they stay connected.

1. Always require payment or substantial deposit with the signed contract from a first time client.

2. Have a complete duplicate of your show packed in a case and ready to go in case of emergency. (I have had my show case stolen, destroyed, confiscated, and lost.)

3. You know that hilarious joke you tell that no one laughs at?... It's not funny. Stop telling it. Write a new line.

4. Always always always require payment or substantial deposit with the signed contract from a first time client. Always.

Your audience likes to participate. Indulge them.

Unless your audience is a Jewish mother. If that's the case, just stop trying, you'll never get anywhere.

Nice tips guys :)

Keep them coming.

I have another one.

All magicians have a drawer, a cupboard, a loft, a room full of magic. Be wise and only use a few of them. Learn them well, afterall, quality is better than quantity.

Performing 5 amazing magic effects is better than performing 100 rubbish ones.
