When They Believe...?

I'm sure most of us have been here, but what do you do when they believe your patter?

For example: reverse shuffling (a.k.a. a series of false shuffles with the deck starting in order). It somehow loses it's magicalness when people actually believe that it exists.

Static electricity: Daniel Garcia's static. What about when people legitimately believe that it's static electricity, thus losing the magical, levitating aspect.

I could go on, and though I know there's not much you can do, what do you guys think about this?

This may be a little off-topic, but I just want to point out that reverse shuffling really does exist.

On-topic; you could simply use a different pattern if you feel that your current one weakens the magic.
