teach him something. Im not saying teach him your best trick but something simple, like the pen disappear or 21. everyone knows those on hear but it would be great to be taught something like that to a little kid. Tell him your gonna teach him a trick and want him to practice real hard. He'll spend his time practicing instead of following you. Then next time he comes around he'll have something to show you instead of wanting to see your stuff. give him pointers on how to make it better and he'll keep practicing. Then after awhile teach hiim something new. who knows, after awhile he could become someone worth teaching. he could be the future of magic for all we know. haha

This method will require a sharp knife, gloves, ski mask, tarp, shovel, transportation to undisclosed location *cough W:H's house cough*, and the willingness to take a human life.

Only kidding.

Well, despite your or his age, you deserve your privacy and time for yourself. Simply tell him that you cannot do or teach him anything right now, but later you will. If need be, talk to his parents, I'm sure they'll understand (they are around him more than you are :p) and can help you out.

There is just sooo much paperwork involved in the first method... and prison...

I actually have a kid that kinda does this to me, I do not handle it the right way because, well i'm a jerk, but thats a whole different story.

Best of luck,

haha nice. although that might hurt his feelings some. i think the only way of making a clean break is to fake your own death and move into the Lee Asher WITNESS protection program

I think I just head the collective groan from all the Theory11 users on right now.

How old are you, and how old is he?

If he wants to learn, teach him. But teach him about the art first, not the intricate mechanics involved in performing the art. Teach him about the unspoken code of secrecy, and then start with some small stuff. Pinky breaks, double lifts, dribbling, shuffling (bridging).

To be honest, I would have loved a mentor when I was growing up. Still would.
