Well, I already have 13 Steps, and Joshua Jay's stuff doesn't really impress me very much, so i'd go with Totally Out Of Control. But if I didn't have 13 Steps, i'd get that. It's an awesome book.

I don't know. I don't own Totally Out Of Control. But you would LOVE 13 Steps. It's awesome. You get alot of good mentalism in that book. It's amazing. But if you want to learn mentalism, Banachek's Psi Series , and Ted Annemann's Practical Mental Magic are awesome too.
They are 2 completely different books. You're comparing apples to oranges. A mentalist would obviously prefer 13 Steps where as a card or coin magician would probably go with Totally Out Of Control.
