i know a lot of people are sick of hearing these kind of posts but ive looked everywhere for help and i cant find anything.
i got this awesome idea for an effect and i have the basic idea of how it is gonna work but i would need some help on how to put the gimmick together. heres the effect...
you've just done a few card tricks so you point out how on the box there is a small yellow (or whatever color) sticker. any spectator puts there initials on the sticker and the box is placed aside.
a card is selected (signed if you wish) and placed face up on the table or in the spectators hands. you pick up the box and w/ a quick shake the yellow initialed sticker visually vanishes. you tell the spectator to look on the back of the card and the signed sticker is on the back of their card.
now heres the basic idea of how it is gonna work...
you have a card on the bottom of the deck with a sticker on the back.
on the box you have a yellow sticker with some random marking on it so when it is being shaken the spectator believes it is their signature. also on the box is a "blink" gimmick w/ the back of the box and the back of the box with the sticker.
during the performance of the effect you get the back of the card with the sticker held against the box. (on most card boxes the back of the box has the same design as the back of cards so this should go undetected) you have them initial the sticker. you place the card back onto the bottom of the deck by simply placing the box on the face of the deck then picking up the box alone and placing it with the sticker face down on the table. force the bottom card of the deck and place it face up on the table. pick up the box and immediately start to shake it so they do not see it is not their signature. then do the blink change to make it vanish. turn over the card and your done.
I would appreciate someone explaining how to put the blink gimmick together, but it needs to be a blink gimmick that has the elastic so it flips. I'de also like to get your opinion on the overall effect. not practical, too sketchy... let me know please i would be most appreciative
