Interesting Illusion...

Hey guys,
I thought I might post this here. Some of you may have gotten this in an email but I just wanted to show everyone else how weird this is. It is a bit off topic but I think it is somewhat like an illusion

Anyway, your job is to read aloud the paragraph below as fast as you can. (I know it is misspelled.) Jusst read aloud and as fast is you can but make sure you are ssaying the right words....

"Hlelo. My nmae is Dlayn. Waht is yuor nmae? I am a mgacaiin. I hvae been prefromnig for fvie yares. I konw, cool rghit? Aynawy, I jsut tohuhgt taht you mgiht wnta to raed tihs rnadom eassy. Do yuo get the Iullsoin yet? You are so dmub... did you raelzie taht eevn thuogh amlsot all of tehse wrods are seplled wonrg taht you had amlost no truoble raednig tihs. No? too bad. See you ltaer.

yuor bdduy,
Dlayn"

You see? Even though almost al of those words were spelled wrong you still were able to read them aloud fairly quickly with little to no pauses between words. Cool right?

I love these i have one in my art class

its because even though we read the words we usually dont read words as a whole so as long as the first and last letters saty the same the rest can be jumbled up

its pretty cool

yea, first and last letter must be right, the rest can be a jumble. If i'm not mistaken, this was an experiment conducted by Cambridge university...

You also have to assume the reader knows the word... I think... Maybe not... Can someone verify my statement?

Like Ehtnpoceapalhy...?
