As said before, Viviti is more of a CMS than a site builder. And yes, this is directed to beginners, but also people who don't do coding, scripting, or can't afford a designer.

I'm a web designer and have been for 8 yrs, I see nothing wrong with Viviti. Though I would never use it as a site for clients of mine, it's a wonderful site for those with personal purposes.
