Intro: So I decided to purchase Impromptorn, and after playing around with it, I decided to upload a review for it. So here is…
Trick: Impromptorn
Created By: David Fulde
History: David explains that he has been working on this effect for over 2 years and started out as something called ‘Convalescent’, so he took it back to the drawing board improved it and it started from there.
Effect: A freely selected card, signed by the spectator is folded and torn into four pieces. The pieces are held in the mouth and are restored one by one in the cleanest manner. The card is then handed out immediately for examination and kept by the spectator.
Alternative Ending: Once restored the magician can iron out the creases leaving it back to its orignal state or end with a transformation.
Notes: Completely impromptu restoration and Variations taught
Cost: £8.50/$12.37
Genre: Card Magic
Demo/Product: http://deechristophermagic.com/impromptorn.cfm
Format: Instant Download PDF
Quality: The booklet is broken into sections , steps and layed out very cleanly and simple. There are photos to help with the restorations and where they go. And the cover looks fantastic.
Layout: Original Handling: (See Effect Above)
Impromptorn Two: Once the third piece is restored the card is folded up and the last piece and folded ‘card’ is placed in the spectators fist. Upon opening their hand they find that the piece has restored itself.
Creases One: After a torn and restored card effect you visually and cleanly remove the creases from the card, slowly with no funny moves at all.
Creases Two: A spectator is invited to chooses a card and sign it. The card is accidentily lost and the magician has the spectator to choose a different card and sign it if they want too. The card is torn and restored piece by piece and the creases are removed. The card is turned over to show that it has changed to the first signed card selection.
Final Notes: Small tips and advice.
Thank-Yous: Credits and inspirations for all you helped.
Teaching: The teaching is very easy to follow along and very understandable.
Dirtiness: You end messing and a little dirty in this, but it can be easily clean-up.
Clean-Up: Simple and justified.
Angles: 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock just the same about any torn and restored card effect.
Difficulty: Intermediate: On a scale of 1-10 (Ten being the hardest), I say it’s about a
5. It will be easy for any advanced card magicians; beginners will need some time and practice to make the moves and restorations perfect, natural and flawless.
Overall: This is definitely a good T&R effect. I enjoyed the extra ideas and thoughts contained inside.
