Awesome Effect Using Google

You little stalker!
Omg my friend showed me this awesome trick during keyboarding class today.
Here are the instructions:

1. Type in "www.darkartsmedia.com/google.html" Type it exactly like that, dont skip anything.
2. You'll see what looks like a normal google page. (But it's not)
3. Click anywhere on the screen once.
4. Wait 4 seconds, and you'll see that the two o's start to dissappear.
5. Click anywhere on the screen again, wait 4 second, and the o's reappear
6. Click anywhere on the screen one more time and it directs you to the real google website. (Note: If you're trying this on 4-27-09, the actual google site may look weird. That's cuz today is Samuel Morse's birthday so the word "Google" is written in Morse Code)

You can pretend to erase the o's. You can cover it with a card, coin, or your hand to make the o's disappear (and reappear). You can even print the o's onto a blank card, and pretend to transfer the o's from the screen to the card.

It's just something for you to play with. Enjoy!

Neato. But, you'll have to hide the address bar, as that would draw some suspicion, heh. ;)

Just say it's a faster loading site? (reffering to the post above)

Also check out www.ipolygraph.com/google
1.tell someone to think of an actor.
2.Have them tell you who.
3.Type in /~~~~~~/ then search (~~~~~) means whatever actor or anything they said.

4.So basically anything in type in the slashes, thats what it'll search.
5.Play around with it and you'll see what i mean.
6. Also if they want to type something in, justt let them.
7.Whatever you type in the slashes, the computer will just make up a sentence.
8. So if it makes up "What did" just make up the rest of the sentence. Make sure if they say will smith you type "/will smith/

just a short explanation:p

Just an addon here: force or glimpse a card (or just ask the to name one) and type '/' then the initials of the card (eg: 2h = 2 of hearts) then another '/'
You should have the word 'What' typed in automatically. Then finish the question like "What is the name of the card?" or "What card was selected?" search and let them take in the amazing results.

It's not supposed to be a preplanned trick it's just like an offbeat thing that you can do whenever you have a computer near you.
I didn't say anything about being preplanned or not...I just don't like effects that use computers (or cell phones, aside from using them as any other object, like Pressure does). You could have the best presentation in the world for this effect, and I still wouldn't want to use it, as it just isn't my thing. It's personal preference...some people like coins, some don't; some like cards, some don't; some like mentalism, some don't; etc. I just don't like technology based effects. :)

I used this in the perfect situation yesterday. I did the card thing and everyone thought it was like the computer could hear us talking or something. When they wanted to try it I switched it to the regular page and it wouldn't work.
awesome. :p

I would like to share my personal favorite routine. I have the "O" cutted it out on printing paper. I hide them behind a card before you begin the trick, tell your audience that you're going to do something in a strange way. You cover the "O" on your comp. screen, then let go of the paper that is hidden behind the card and pick them up. Do a false transfer and rub it on your screen. And Wah-La!
