Post closed. Changed my mine about this one.
Through the years I've developed 'policies' to abide by when creating new magic effects. After thinking about this effect more, I realized it doesn't meet one of those policies. So I removed the video and canceled the release.

I like the creativity of the idea and the looks of the effect, but I'm also wondering if it has to be done with a can of food...I mean penetrating a borrowed ring through a solid can looks awesome, but not really my style.

You have to use canned foods, no soda cans. This plays big because it's a factory sealed can, unprepared. They won't find one clue on their can or on their ring how you did it.

Hey Kevin...I'm really interested to know why you closed this project and your "policies" regarding new magic effects. Could be a good read! :p

No need for that. You probably don't know who Kevin Pakrer is and more than likely unaware of the incredible effects he has created in the past.

Think twice before making STUPID N00B comments in the future on these boards.

You are correct sir, I don't know who Kevin Pakrer is. I do, however, know who Kevin Parker is. That said I appreciate your time in responding to my reply. But what else could it really be? I agree that I may have chosen my words incorrectly and should not have been harsh.

For the person who asked me about the policies I developed over the years to govern my creation of new magic effects, basically they are thus:

(1) The effect must NOT make the magician nervous much. It must be so simple he doesn't worry about messing it up, and can't wait to find somebody else to show it to.

(2) The effect must NOT be angle sensitive. This is where I noticed my Retribution effect failed. That's why I cancelled releasing it.

Fortunately, I have some projects in the works right now that meet these expectations. Perhaps you'll see them soon.

Yes, now that I see your policies I notice them in all your marvelous effects :D Wonderful policies, especially with the point about "making the magician want to go out and perform".
That is soo important. And angle-sensitivity is kind of a sensitive area in my effects. Nice to see a magician with magical policies.

Keep up the awesome work so far, and ignore the haters :p

Can you name one of his effects that received a positive review from an adult who writes for a major magic magazine?

Definitely, I buy both magic and genii mainly for the reviews. The magazine reviewers are a good source for honest reviews because they go through so much garbage that I'm sure they just wait and wait for that one good effect. I think people assume that the reviewers for magazines want to stir controversy but I assume those guys are hopeful everytime they get a new effect because of the chance that they may find a new treasure. As for Kevin Parker his stuff gets really bad press. Did his(?) revolution coin vanish get good reviews? It seems pretty popular.
