Great!!

but as a piece of advice...I wouldn´t perform tomorrow again...you must always leaving them wanting for more..don´t be a trick monkey (Not saying that you are) take your time and perform when time is right....

I definitely agree with that, Luis. But since he is in the 9th grade and it doesn't sound like he's performed very much, I think at this time it's more important he performs as much as he can for as many different groups of people as he can. Its more important that he learns how to deal with different personalities, hecklers, angles, etc etc.

As we all know, what happens in practice and what happens in live performance are two completely different things. If he is selective on when he performs, while that is overall a good idea, I don't know if its as vital for where he is in his development.

Very true.

Just pointing out that your advice and Luis' aren't incompatible - performing for many different groups is definitely helpful to get performance experience up - but Luis' advice of not performing for the same group too often is good too. :)

It's a great feeling, I know. But don't do magic everyday, that will make you the "annoying magic kid", you don't want that. As another 9th grader, I think its safe to say that when people find out about the fact that you do magic, people are gonna ask you all day at every turn, and the fact that you see them everyday will make them want to see new tricks. I know from experience. You can do the same tricks every once in a while but pay attention to the tricks they respond to the most and the ones they demand, and do them even less often. I love the fame that you get around the whole grade and how people I don't even know ask to see magic :) Good luck!

That's brilliant. I love it.

It makes me remember my university days. I would sit in a lecture hall, listening to the lecture and I would make my pen stand on end on the table, and then act like I was concentrating really hard on it, and eventually it would lift off the table a bit and float for a second then fall.

I met some great friends because of that. (One who ended up booking me for a school show a number of years later)
