Lol thx. I worry about me too whenever I find this stuff.

    Magi-bases!!

For a while, I just used a Word or Notepad documents, or just a physical notebook. A little different as I would only write down my routines. Wouldn't have to write a lot, keep it open on the desktop for a while (or keep the notebook next to where you're practicing) and just jot down some notes...

    Odessey Ring Magic

I personally chose to wear the metal ring around. I keep the gimmick in my pocket (normally if I'm wearing jeans, I'll put it in that super tiny pocket inside the right front pocket, I think people used them for pocket watches). This way, it won't be affected by a "stuffed environment" (if you...

    My cards are too cold!

For about $10 - $15, you can find "Porper" style Card clips on Ebay and Amazon. The official ones cost around $40, but knock offs called "Porper Card Clips" will do the trick (not as high quality, probably not as long lasting, but they get the job done).

    Original?

I mean, there are quite a few ways to do this effect, so you'll have to be more specific Btw, this is the cardistry forum

Nice! But I think you accidentally typed your message out in the quote lol

    Best reactions....

I personally feel like the best reactions are where they're just silent. No clue what to say, they just kinda stare at you, then at each other, and their just silent, with a look of clear amazement. Did a spongeball routine for a friend and a stranger on the school bus in 10th grade. Got that...

    Double Cross

There's a "Send Email" button at the fourth from the left. Right click it and copy the address (I would post it here, but I don't want people randomly emailing him)

    name a card?

Throw one in each shoe, in a wallet, and a hat and now you're over 1/4 of the deck

Best Magic Book for a (relative) beginner

That's perfectly fine. You're not going to get it perfectly smooth for a while, I believe Jason England said something close to 8 years of practice before it is absolutely perfect and fooling card sharks, and a year or more before you actually start getting very good at it. I'm no good with...

Best Magic Book for a (relative) beginner

The thing about Gambling moves is that they take a ton of time to get down. Seconds, Centers, and Bottoms is Marlo's own method of gambling moves. It will take a very very long time to perfect. It's his own grip and style, so it'll be different from Madison, England, and Spade. I haven't looked...

Best Magic Book for a (relative) beginner

Magic Inc sells Revolutionary Card Technique for around $60, though I have no clue if they still have it or not. It isn't exactly for beginners, in fact a lot of the stuff is very advanced, but it is very good. Expert Card Technique will last you a long time, I'd reccomend the Royal Road to...

Another trick for my fellow filthy millineals

    the internet was a mistake.

Trick only my fellow filthy millennials will get.

God dammit lol Not sure where I stand generation wise, too young to be considered Millennial, but too old to relate to anything about Gen Z. Obviously, most millennial are in there late 20s - mid 30s. But we grew up with a lot of the stuff that late 90s kids can relate too while also relating...

    Pre-Thoughts on "Houdini's Last Secrets"?

That's a fair point One witness is still present, I guess we could take it or leave it.

    Click in cards

That's really interesting. Probably why you can sometimes get a brand new sealed deck that has a click in it.

    Magic performance with Pass

This is all my honest opinion, not a definite answer: IMO the Pass should never be the center point of your routine. The entire point of the Pass is to use misdirection to invisibly cut the deck. The moment you rely on it being the actual move, it kind of fails its job. It is very much a...

    Visible breaks.

The simplest thing is just to put your thumb across the front of the cards and hide the break. Maybe even switch to mechanics grip with the first finger at the top of the deck and push the cards flat. These will mask the break, not necessarily hide it 100%. You could also drop your hands to...
