i missed a great deal. but from the original post i'm going to say this: i agree. this revelation kind of ruined magic for me for a while. i wasn't good enough to do the art justice. so i didn't try. i'm working my way back slowly however.

Calen showed me this on tinychat one day, laggy webcam and a slow comp (on my part) made it hard for me to get psyched about it. I'm looking forward to the legit trailer from T11 though!

this, is a freaking awesome idea. the gel pen bit is amazing. dudes a wizard. if you want to incorporate the rose some how.... just give her one with the note. i still agree with steerpike and Theatrehead in the sense that the magic should accent the question.

look into some of those signature morphing tricks. have her sign...then change it to say "will you go to prom with me?" or somethign like that.

I had an idea as i was thinking about this more.. Darwin Ortiz says something like if the sleight will make the effect better, learn the sleight no matter how difficult. or something like that. however i believe that having a self working trick as a closer is a good idea. it shouldn't be done...
