    Raven - Sound Problem

Gluing a thin piece of felt to the end will do the trick... I didn't know people still used the Raven.

    Good Impromptu Tricks?

i just saw your thread and if you're interested, I've recently stumbled upon a few slights that are 'self working' in the sence that there is no set up but are still amazing productions... if you take pre-existing ideas as early as vernon and mix them up with themselves, you are left with some...

    My Teacher

Yep And that, ladies and gents, is why my senior year of high school, the only "card trick" I ever did while in class or in the halls was Danny Garcia's Scatter... If you know it, you get what I'm saying- if you don't, I do suggest buying it. After it's purchased, you could dare your teacher to...

    Examine before/after?

If you make a big deal about how clean something is, you're implicitly referring to the slight needed to pull it off. I really don't perform with gimmicks that would make me to not be able to hand something out before and after a trick- even if i only let them see it at the beginning or at the...

Left handed but should I try with my right hand?

Absolutely not! Lee Asher is a lefty and he is by far one of the best cardicians I've seen. When watching a flourish video, rather than carbon coping the technique as a righty would do, simply mirror image it. You'll be fine- I know two leftys that are a lot better flourishers than I am.

    Selective Respect

Two cents- no waiting. First: Definitely cyan. lol Secondly: Sankey's got some shaky practices as does Angel- flooding the market with "ehh" magic and selling to laypeople respectively. This will lead to a lack of respect in the eyes of people either not well rounded enough to know of the...

    Factory Sealed & Bullet

I'm going to have to back the "no-yes" answer. Remember, this is an effect, you're not putting a coin through a bottle. With that in mind, I'm pretty sure you can imagine the "no-yes" factor. Dave How old are you, if I may ask.

    Witness

I'm glad you mentioned that Glenn as that brings up a great point- for any thread: As magicians, we are performers and as performers, we are artists. An artist doesn't make carbon copies of Starry Night (van Gogh) every time he sits in front of a canvas and is asked to paint. If you've thrown...

    Witness

Yeah, that was teetering on the edge of exposure there. :p Witness is an amazing trick. It is a beautiful snapshot of the type of magic that has come from Lee Asher- stunning, self working, kick your self simple and above all else, explained by one of the best cardicians I've come across...

    Criss Angel Levitation

The criss angel lev. isn't all that great looking either. I made my own- cause I'm crafty like that and have the means to produce such a gimmick in my basement (even though it's criss angel, I'm not going to spoil the trick). For how much work goes into the trick, it's very nacky and angle...

    Can't stop getting the shakes!

I'm very glad you've started this thread as I am positive that many of the forum goers also experience this- just as I do from time to time- and what better venue to discuss such a dilemma. In all honesty, I thought it was a personal neurochemical problem when I first came across my shakes...

    Explicit Footage

After seeing the video, I obviously had to make it work. Occom's razor and I have produced a "this would work" version. (For intellectual reasons, this will not be performed prior to a working model captured on video which has been stamped 'okay to use' by Sean- 'cause stealing -even ideas- is...

First Night as a House Magician

david stone's real secrets of magic has already been mentioned. and that's probably the best dvd format info sources (Lecture notes are great for tricks that'll work the crowd too) that you'll get about table hopping. This is definitely a great dvd especially for restaurants.

Who performs magic with Guardians regularly?

At first, when I started performing for friends and strangers, I only liked pulling out an 808 deck blue backed. My main reason behind this was the fact that I felt it was more convincing of a routine with a 'normal' deck. Even with a basic 808 deck, the exclamation "it's a trick deck" always...

    Control Question

"Go for the Jugular" is a nice effect to stop your pulse at your neck.

    Good tricks with Control

From what I've read/heard/seen so far, that will most definitely be covered in the 2 or so hours worth of dvd. A cool little subtlety though has been forshadowed by Wayne: Obviously, stopping your pulse is a display of control over what is one of humanity's greatest fears; death. So you could...

    New York State magicians

Lindenhurst, Long Island, New York... Only magician in town- unless you count my 45 yr old next door neighbor who after seeing me levitate, brought a 100 piece magic set from some shop in Vegas.:p PM me if you're close- I hate not having magicians to jam out with (other than that good looking...

    Reaching out!

You could always pocket the deck (with your card in question forced to the top or bottom) as a part of a transition to the next leg of the trick. Prime example: As explained by Wayne, when performing distortion, as soon as you do the reveal that your card changed into theirs and they go to...

    Schwing by Chris Kenner

There are too many coin in bottle routines! I'm partial to infusion where you use a clear rocks or pint glass and a single quarter only because it's completely slight of hand- not sneeky angle stuff but alas, I digress... I love how confident and charismatic you are- even if it is for a...

I made the front page of Itricks.com

Pretty cool dude. I'd obviously be more impressed if I was the idiot in starbucks and you did that to my computer but the effect, if it actually goes off as you say it does (sans installing something visibly into someone's computer) sparks my interest.
