    Close-Up Standing Ovation

Again, you guys are seeing it wrong, and I don't blame you, English is not my first language. You're not complaining. Up to that point, you already expressed your character, you got them on the train with you, you are hitting with every joke and one-liner that you have. Once you have all that...

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

Yes, but it's still pretty obvious what he is doing and why he is doing it. Just like people can give me applause sitting down instead of standing up, so could he make them raise their hands up in the air instead of standing up. The goal is the same, it's visually more impressive. But see...

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

Hmm, emotional blackmail? I like that expression. But then so many times they can interpret asking for tips as an actual blackmail, but so many magicians still do it. How is "when I call your name please stand up and remain standing" not asking for it?

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

Well that's the whole point, you are not FORCING anything or anyone. That second part of the line "I never get it but I always try" actually works both ways. It kind of makes them want to do it (key word is WANT), but also it gives them the option of not doing it since no one else has done it...

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

I get what you're trying to say. But as you said it yourself, they will be loud and cheerful no matter what, if they're drunk. We all experienced it. You approach a table, they're loud, obnoxious, pretty much just bothering everybody with their noise. You could do a simple double lift and...

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

It is supposed to look like that. Not like a joke, but like people are having a lot of fun with you. I guess I didn't describe it very well. The employer will see how quickly and easily you build rapport with the audience, get them on your side, and having a lot of fun with you. Again, first try...

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

It's all meant to be done in a jokingly kind of way. It's not a serious standing ovation where people will cry and throw their babies up in the air. They will be laughing, you will be laughing, and they will do it because of the joke you did. That's why you have to build a connection with them...

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

Why do you guys think it's too much or that it's ridiculous? I got plenty of them, and it never seemed or felt like anything close to ridiculous. p.s. I really need to learn how to quote more then one person in the same reply. Can someone help me with that?

    Close-Up Standing Ovation

Hey guys, since it's thanks giving in USA, it's almost Christmas time, I decided to give you all a gift (aren't I nice) ;) It's my way of getting a standing ovation at almost every single table while doing table hopping (yes, you can get a standing ovation at a table in a restaurant). I kept...

    INK Way by Me

I really don't like the moving ink effects, unless the ink moves for a reason. But that's just personal preference. You kind of flashed your own gimmick. Also try to make the ink move more naturally. So all in all, work on the handling a bit more, and add a purpose and a presentation.

    Your Thousand Timer

I should play the lottery..............................................not! Anyways, I have like thousand of Thousand Timers (see what I did there?). Invisible Deck, 3 Card Monte (couple of versions), Chicago Opener, Crazy Man's Handcuffs, Dr. Daily's Last Trick, Fairytale Frogs, Duplicity...

    magic tricks

Aaaaaand back to topic :D Just a second... You're asking for something NEW to refresh your repertoire, right? Well "VAPR" and "SINGLE NEEDLE" both came out just like 3-4 days ago!!! If that isn't NEW enough, I don't know what is o_O Also, couple of other effects from your list came out just...

    Your Thousand Timer

I think (using my extremely developed mentalism skills), that it has something to do with a trick that you do (did) a thousand times, aka. your favorite trick to perform maybe? Something like that... Or it could be something completely different :)

I've never heard of that expression, can you explain what it is?

Creating an intro for your act

Well yes, that's what I'm talking about, it still needs audience participation (they need to name a prediction somehow), even if it's from their own seat. Christopher, I agree with you, it doesn't have to be an effect at the beginning of the show, but still the first effect you do is gonna be...

Creating an intro for your act

I do agree on some extent, but then how do you open a mentalism act? There has to be SOME participation from the audience, even if it's only from their own seat.

    Poster for my theater show...

The way you dress is perfectly fine, it's just the face. Even if you were standing like that, but turn your head to face the camera, it would be great.

    Poster for my theater show...

Yes, since it's on your poster, people will be expecting it. I like the simplicity of the poster, but I don't like your picture from the side. It doesn't really show who you are. If I see the poster, and then see you walking down the street, I wouldn't be able to recognize you. Always have a...
