Hello Everyone!!...

So I am having big show in a theatre!! I organized everything and it´s in february 28, 2014... and here is the poster!! the show it´s called "Mind Over Matter"... it´s a combination of magic and mentalism...

I really like it. The way you used selective coloring to emphasize the apple is great. Well done. Just wondering, is there any information regarding ticket price or where to get tickets?

yes!! I forgot to mention, that this is the teaser!!....the final poster with sponsors, ticket price, phones, contact, etc will be released in the upcoming weeks... the show is in february 28, 2014...

Yes, since it's on your poster, people will be expecting it.
I like the simplicity of the poster, but I don't like your picture from the side. It doesn't really show who you are. If I see the poster, and then see you walking down the street, I wouldn't be able to recognize you. Always have a picture from the front, especially if you're not a TV star. Even they have pictures from the front on their posters. Other then that, I like it.

Oh yes!! I agree with that but in the show I don´t float it....I make it fall to my hand slower like the orange in The Illusionist...I bought Fearson Floating apple sometime ago, I highlt recommend it, since it´s like a feather and looks like a real apple from some distance....I use it for a routine called Gravity!!.... thanks for comments!!

I agree with you!!...but I want to tell you that the way I am dressed in the poster is the way I dress everyday!!anyway, there is a 2nd version of the poster where I am doing the floating glass and bottle trick, and I am supposed to be facing the camera...

The way you dress is perfectly fine, it's just the face. Even if you were standing like that, but turn your head to face the camera, it would be great.

Okay, I'll throw my two cents in. Personally I like the side shot because it makes Luis look a bit mysterious, however all of the points brought up are valid. People like to associate a face and a name and even better if there is a prop from the show included as well in the promotional material. Has anyone ever seen David Kaplan perform with the falling bowling ball from the ceiling? His business card have a picture of him holding a black umbrella and bowling balls are falling from the sky. This is very visual and easy to remember for people.

If an apple won't be levitated in the show then I don't think it should be on the poster at all. That being said, I do like the way you chose to only incorporate a bit of color on one item. I think it would be neat to take the red color from the apple though and make your name in the same red because your eyes are drawn to the red apple and you would want attention drawn to your name as well.

You are headed in the right direction Luis and I wish you the best of luck in your show. I love reading and hearing about your experiences.

I believe that the side shot is great for this teaser poster, but on the actual poster you should definitely show more of you and your face, like everyone has said. For a teaser though, I like how mysterious the side shot is. It is very intriguing the way it is, but I do understand where others are coming from.

and everyone.. I don´t "levitate" the apple...I make it fall slower, because it´s part of a routine of manipulation of gravity where I show how to weaken it... jejeje
