Where to learn crucial card sleights

I didnt say its a bad approach, its certainly workable particularly if you're using the pass as a control but thats as far as it goes. I'm simply saying that they are better approaches, applicable to the real world. Thats for me personally. Personalization in this particular move is very...

which is here: http://forums.theory11.com/showthread.php?p=210980#post210980 I dont mean disrespect AceIllusion, but aside the fact that I dont have a freakin idea, I dont think its a magic-history question

I agree. This thread looks fun, there is already a thread starting, its much better if everything's jammed in one thread. magicman1212 ( or tally-ho I don't know ), fire away. :)

Where to learn crucial card sleights

I strongly disagree with you here. This DVD teaches Peter's approach to the pass, NOT the classic pass in a normal sense. Mr.Crossford actually does many common mistakes ( the get ready for example ), not to mention the discussion on angles is wrong for a classic pass, correct for his approach...

    5 Speed Cleanup

I do a version of the original Jennings versions, all can be done with a borrowed deck without any gaffs. The plot's called Ambitious Classic in case you want to look around.

    Transpo: comments please

1- In my humble opinion, I think there is too much work done under heat. 2 complex sleights done at the same excat point when the heat is focused on the deck. While my view might differ from yours, I think the flow needs improvement, complex sleights not done at the right moment having alot to...

Search & Destroy DVD and The Secret Weapon

I read Jenning's original today, lovely trick. Would be very intrested to see Fisher's work on it, especially since this one is self working. Jenning's version has a very tricky move, plus many other moves.

    Side Steal?

Beside this, Mike Close has a PDF on Side steals. It has many refrences and is a VERY good way to start learning the move. Card College description, while very very good, is basic.

    Oblique Double Lift

I worked out the same tech. months ago and have couple of variations ( without closing spread, from riffle .. etc ) , later I watched TV clip of a Latin magician who used it as well ( a past FISM winner, whos I'll post his name if I recall it. also, there another one with an account called...

The Expert at the Card Table

Trust me, you don't have to be 18. Though it should be rated high for gore and violence. lol, as the above post, Fisher's podcasts have all the info you need. Good luck.

    Phuges Pass?

It was termed Pugh's Pass ( controlling a selection) in a letter sent to the John Hillard author of Greater Magic. (which is why its not in the original book, but the edition sold by Genii ) Considering the move is named way back, just sleep over it man. :) It should be noted while Dorian made...
