Actually, in all the 8 boards we have, not one of the stickied threads mentions this, and no, this is not a card magic forum, it is specified to general magic, however there is also a specific card magic forum hosted by T11, as well as coins, reviews, questions, etc. But none of these things are really relevant anyway.

That sounds like an awesome beginning in magic, like you really knew how to get to where you were trying to go, I'm sure most of the people who post here looking to get a start in the career are very envious of that, and if I was trying to be a professional magician, I would too. But this is why they come here to post, because they don't have that. I just see it as very discouraging when people with experience like you, and Craig, and Steerpike, and all the others just shut them down like what has happened in this thread.

A good example are the first couple of posts in this thread, those probably took 1 or 2 minutes to write, they are helpful, and not at all rude. Then it goes downhill, I'm sorry Craig, but that post is just disgusting, no one cares how many lethargic people you have met this morning, nor does it concern them, and absolutely not should they be blamed for it. What they do care about is your near infinite source of knowledge. So condescending.

What I'm saying i'm more willing to help someone who made this type of post

Hi i'm new here I have looked for XYZ and found a few things but they do not address what i'm looking for Any help.

What gets me is someone who post this

HEY what camara should i use. or Hey where do i start to learn card juggling.
They ignore the sticky topics. Or they didn;t even bother to search or at times where will be two or three threads with the same topic post one on top of the other. IT takes just a minute or to do do a search. If they take the time to search they would find 75% of what they are asking about.

And no T11 is not general magic. If it was there would be sponge and cups and balls and rope magic and mental magic act act not cards more cards oh a little coin and more cards. This isn't a general magic forum it is the catch all for not cards and card juggling but ends up 90% cards or how to get a gig. When we tell them how to get what they are looking for we get well that is too hard or I don't want to read books or couldn't you just tell me? Or they want to know if that poorly shot video of their hands doing a move that is 80 years old that "I just came up with this and want to sell it on the Wire. What do you mean it;s not orignial. I came up with it so that should count and I don't care"

Those who have taken the time are getting a wealth of information from some of us. Like i said there is one person here who is getting stuff from my working sets that I have never shared with anyone.
