I’ve been checking out the two recent releases of Verbatim and 52 to 1. On the 52 to 1 page there is an image of Colin McLeod performing it over the screen. Is it possible to do the effect virtually?

Absolutely! 52 to 1 works perfectly as a virtual effect, with your spectator just thinking of any card they see. In the theory11 explanation video, Colin demonstrates how to do this virtually, with 5+ clips from virtual performances.
