No offense but whats magical or impressive about that. You taped a bunch of fire crackers on yourself with a layer of something between the firecrackers and the skin.

It is a stunt I believe was first done by a man named Harley Newman, a side-show legend? Oh wait you are only a legend when you do the bed of nails with two nails...oh wait he does that?

Anyway, I liked it and it looks real impressive though the pitch and promise of something big would of made the ending that much better in the video I mean. Good show!

EDIT

I lied, according to Todd Robins, the act originated from the tokyo shock bros and the old Jim Rose sideshow.

I didn't say there was anything "magical" about it. Notice the word stunt in the title. Not "effect", nor "trick". Not everything I do as a performer is a card trick sir

Thank you Nexus! And oh yes, Jim Rose is a very well known individual among the sideshow troupes.

I didnt say card trick obviously. Notice the word impressive in my post. All im saying is that I light these off all the time and with the layer of whatever it is between you and the firecrackers there not dangerous at all and not much to be impressed by.

He didn't say it was magical or impressive. You said you didn't say magical. You said magical. Therefore, your arguement is flawed.

Nice stunt Draven :P

Now your making things up. Show me where I said that I didnt say magical. And Im not arguing. Im giving criticism. Performers need to know how to take criticism.

I said it didnt look magical or impressive. He responded by saying not everything he does is a card trick. Obviously

It didnt look mildly impressive to me so I thought maybe there was some magic intended. I guess it was neither.

Alright, I don't care about the whole magical debate on this.
It looked dumb.

From a layman's POV, it looked like a piece of metal taped with a roll of fireworks on you.
The only dangerous part about it would be the crud flying in your eyes.
Another point, don't take your shirt off.
See 2nd post in this thread: http://forums.theory11.com/showthread.php?28875-Swallow-a-Thread

I know this sounds mean, but if everyone told you how good of job you did, you'd never hear the truth and perform it exactly how you do.
The stunt didn't do it for me.
It seemed like you were trying to push the idea of how dangerous it was, when it wasn't.
It was too . . . Corny.

Draven,
You wanted feedback from the community.
You get some negative feedback and you decide to delete your video.
What the hell man?

Don't be embarrassed or turn your back on the performance.
What's done is done.
You might as well leave the video up, get the feedback you asked for, and work on that.
You've already done the hard part.
Plus, I don't want anything I said to you make you feel ashamed about the performance. This is about improving.
Honestly, I know I sounded like a dick. Sorry, but sometimes I can't hide what I need to say behind little compliments of "I liked this part" and "good job".
But you should never let anyone make you feel embarrassed about something that you are proud of.
