When you perform "Pressure" on the streets what do you say to the spectator about using there phone? I mean you are going to a complete stranger saying something along the lines of " Do you have a cell phone, can you take it out?" I have performed this to specs on the streets and had have some strange looks. What do you suggest?

Open with something that introduces you are a magician, then move to pressure

Id put it in the middle of my routine, so they know you already have some skillz and they know something crazy is going to happen

Totally agree. Once they get familiar and comfortable with you, their guard will go down and you slam them with anything amazing... including Pressure of course.

Try asking to use their phone because you lost theirs or something then go into it. Or ask to see their phone.

I would usually do Ringtone by Adam Grace then move on to pressure. It kind of is a "intro" to the target. (there cell phone) Or you can do it with a deck of cards and if you want, PM me and i will teach you my variation of Jay Sankeys Airtight with pressure!:p

It doesnt matter how long, or how many days you have been performing it as long as you can perform it well and good and if you are happy with your performance and your audience apprecaites it, thats all that matters. Who cares if it only came out 3 days ago, even if it came out 3 minutes ago if you can perform it well and you are happy with it, nothing should stop you from creating a miracle in front of someones eyes.

True but I can guarantee that you do not perform it as well as Danny Garcia and for this effect you need to perform it 100% perfect.

I don't think very many people here could perform it as well as Danny in the first place.

And why do you go into every thread talking to people like your their father. Why don't you just calm down a bit?

haha i guess i cant either.

Well in the dvd, Danny and Dan have a camera with them. So naturally the people the perform for are going to know something is going on.

Like other people said i would do something first, then go into pressure

Magicman1212 is right, so stop ragging on the kid - you should always practice your tricks to damn near perfection before you perform for someone.

Yes, Pressure is not a trick that requires intensive practice, but you DO need to get the knacks of it down. As long as you can perform it without faltering, that's all that matters.

It doesn't matter how easy something is; you should give it the time it deserves to make it look damn near perfect.

Performing on the street so soon ?

Yeh i had the same thought tbh. I mean alot of people will think your trying to steal their phone lol

Best thing to do is introduce yourself as a magician, do a few card tricks and then move onto pressure. Obviously you dont want to be keeping someone on the streets for a long time so probably just do one trick and them pressure

Another way is to appraoch someone but have someone filming, this usualy gets attention and you tend to get people walking up to you instead of having to approach someone.

Na, bad idea. People dont lend you their phones these days with crime rate, especialy where i live, if you asked to borrow someones phone they would run lol.

I would say "hey guys/ladies can I show ya'll something?"
At this point I am dribbling a deck of cards in my hands and so they,in their minds think
,"oh a magician"
I have never gotten rejected thus far.
But then id go"Umm I wanna try something different since card tricks are so overplayed nowadays, now this sounds bizzare/strange/wierd but.."
and I proceed to take out the balloon and start to blow it up,halfway through I say jokingly
"This'll make sense in a minute so bare with me."and smile.
(all of this is said in a charismatic way.Not mysterious or creepy.Think Wayne houchin I guess)
....I think thats enough to get started.
I dont really wanna give out a whole script. And I just thought of this in about a minute..but this is how id get to that point.

Did you have a unique presentation? Did you practice it so hard that you could do it in your sleep? Could your reactions get better?

On the Trailer for "Search and Destroy" He mentioned it was a easy self working trick but mentioned around a month to perfect it.

I personally don't own pressure but it is not an opening effect, but a middle or closer. You need to sustain credibility as a performer.

Listen to Magicman1212, because he just hit the nail on the head.
