This book is not for a young or new student in magic. It is very heavy into how our brains process magic and how effects fool us time and time again. It is by far one of my top 3 magic books for all time right now. Up there with Strong Magic and Maximum Entertainment.

This book is OUTSTANDING.

Craig Browning, J.B., Draven, Luis, Benji, Realty One, Chris W., Simon and any of you older guys I left out....I urge you to pick this up. You won't be able to put it down. A retired doctor in our IBM ring told me about it and I went out and bought it the next day from my local Border's store.

I second that for sure! Honestly one of my favorite magic books. So much info to learn, and a lot of stuff we already know but don't understand, which will help you with confidence and how to use it to it's fullest potential. Seriously good stuff.

That looks amazing. I've been on a theory kick lately - Fitzke, Nelms, McCabe, Webber, Tamaritz, etc. I'm adding this to the the list.

I saw the presentation about this book at magic con. It got some interesting feedback from magicians.

The book isn't written by magicians, they don't seem to understand magic principles and basic magic theory. They explain some extremely basic biological psychology and make some interesting claims about how they think magic works. Some interesting information to read, yes. However their conclusions drawn don't match up with their research very well.
