Business Card

His business card sucks. 'Best card I've ever seen'? Come on....
I don't want an electronic embossed robotic card with half my face and a pop up me with my arms in the air. I just want a card with my name and number on it. I let myself do the talking, not my card. :)

Yeah me too - it was funny - and awkward - just like his business card.

He does make a point, even if it is funny, don't be like the others. I knew a guy that made his business cards on puzzles, and colour changing paper - nobody threw his card out, although it DID fit in a Roladex.

I have different cards too - not standard size - and people do take notice. It has served me well for many years - I am not sure I would have a pop out, and half my face on the card...but the message is loud and clear:

No matter what you do, and how sucky it is - BE PUMPED ABOUT IT - YEAH, MY BUSINESS CARD ROCKS - it doesn't rip - it is a show in itself! EAT IT BAD BUSINESS CARDS!

what can i guarantee?!?! i guarantee if any cocky douchebag who gives me a card with his picture on it... i WILL throw it away. a card is just a card, of course it needs to be professionally made to a certain extent. however, more importantly, it is the person that hands you the card that counts.

I recently had someone complain my card didna fit in their rolodex because I had written my info on a playing card because I was OUT of cards. (I gave them one after that heh)

If you want someone to keep your card, don't be captain generic.... or do Michael Close's Pothole trick. Your card will NEVER be thrown away. (or any other magical effect with a strong impact where they become involved)
