Im learning card across from the trilogy.
the only part i dont get is the pop out move by aaron fisher.
can anyone kind of explain it? is it a knack?
i dont know why the bucks decided to take the hardest part of that trick and say nothing about it. lol.

its been a long time since ive learned magic, and trilogy is the only thing i have right now besides born to perform :)

It is a knacky move and it is taught in Aaron's book The Paper Engine. They probably didn't explain it in detail on the Trilogy because they want you to buy the book. I do own Paper Engine and I must say it is well worth picking up and I don't even use the pop-out move. Aaron's work on the half-pass and his ideas on practice, tension and performance are wonderful. I got this book when i was getting back into magic and it not only fueled my passion to learn more but helped take my card work from intermediate to advanced.

Cheers!

It's a knack. There's no secret to it. Just practice more. Play around with it. Place your fingers closer together, further apart, in a different place, move them in a different way. Actually practice, don't just try to blindly copy the move. And also practice more.

We cant exactly help you
Its almost a pure knack.
heres what you do
1. Understand the mechanics
2. Practice
3. find the sweet spot to do it
4. practice.
5. practice.
6. realize that you were doing it wrong then restart
7. practice

but yea...
heres a tip I found which really helped me.
Dont look at your hand when doing it. What I mean is, do look at your hand but dont move your hand around to see if everything is in place. Keep the deck 100% flat and dont tilt it up to see if the it is in yet (thats what she said). By moving the deck even a little, you change its centre of gravity which changes everything. I used to do this and it really ticked me off as the card would go in but it would always slide back out. i was like "WTFFFFF" till I realized I got the move down months ago but was just ruining it afterwards.
