Hey guys,

Recently I wrote an article about cardistry in my quest to advance the art.

Here it is: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5659570/cardistry_an_art_on_the_rise.html?cat=24

Unfortunately, I realize no one will see the article unless it has views, so I thought you guys could help out with that. If you have a twitter or a blog or something (especially one that isn't about magic) then please post a link to this. And if anyone is on Wikipedia, maybe you can post this article (or an edited version). Also, maybe one of the mods can make this a sticky?

Hopefully we can get this art more recognition!

Thanks,
Austin

Oh ooh. I don't think Andrei Jikh is going to like this article much. Especially the spot where it says cardistry is directly related to magic.

Overall, good article, but if I had no idea what cardistry was, I'd be a bit confused; "What is a fan?" "What is a cut?" "Who in the world is Chris Kenner?" Also the part about magic and cardistry; I have a feeling your going to tick off a lot of magic-only guys, and a lot of flourish-only guys, just saying. Overall, good job and keep at it. I think what you're doing is great.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, there was no way to show you guys before it was official, and I can't edit it now. but De'vo....really? HAHA! And saborfang, I mentioned Brian Tudor because he was a huge influence on many early flourishers.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, there was no way to show you guys before it was official, and I can't edit it now (to put De'vo's site up.) And saborfang, I mentioned Brian Tudor because he was basically the founder of flourishing. ;)

And cardistry is directly related to magic, but that doesn't mean that you have to do them both together. So if people are pissed off, it's for the wrong reasons. Ah well, better to be pissed off than to be pissed on. ;)

Hmmm, how in anyway is "juggling with cards" directly related to magic? Not to be rude, but you need to get your head checked. The article was poorly written. XCM and cardistry and terms coined by individuals. It has been said that Cardistry and XCM are different styles of flourishing. Andrei Jikh would prefer we didn't even called them flourishes.... we should call them "card stunts".

Brian Tudor was NOT the founder of flourishing!! Again you need to get your head checked.... OR at least get your facts straight before writing an article that's 99% nonsense and in no way improves the image of Cardistry.

Yes, I know that XCM and Cardistry can be considered different styles, but the purpose of the article was to get it recognized as a general art. And honestly, I couldn't care less what Andrei Jikh calls it, he is not the god of cards.
When I said cardistry is related to magic, I meant many people perform them together, such as Dan and Dave. This website is a cardistry and magic site. How is that not related? They're both with cards and done at the same time.

My head is fine,
Austin
