Guys, you ARE under estimating it. All you need to do is what's called a reverse faro and then in performance show the cards mixed up and then after only ONE FARO be back to a full deck stack. If that's not amazingly helpful, nothing is

I would usually do two or possibly three since one leaves the pattern difficult to be convincing if you show faced up. Although it's elementary, I've displayed the cards haphazardly as mixed and done some false cuts and a shuffle, some false cuts and a shuffle and with some sort of magic move/snap etc. they end up in new deck order. I've gotten some really good reactions with just that. I'm not sure if I use the reverse faro that's usually taught as I came up with a pretty easy way on my own. It takes some pre-setup but really feel it's worth it.

On one of Darwin Ortiz's tapes he explains doing 6 or 7 faros before a routine just to set up for 1 or two convincing shuffles. For one short opening effect. To me that says a lot about this.

The main reason I consider that video as bordering on exposure is that laypeople can watch it and understand that some sort of mathematical principal is being utilized during a riffle shuffle.
