Classic pass:- The break

Am afraid my pinky break, which everywhere I saw and everybody I listened to said is okay to be pretty large at the beginning, is too large.
The break is visible from the left side.
Am I being too ambitious in focussing on these things now? Should I just focus on getting the actual motion smooth right now?
Or is there a way I can make the break less visible ( notice how I did not say smaller)?
I know once I get to the stage where I can verify the angles of my way of doing this sleight, this problem will lessen. But am wondering and worrying if this is the wrong way and if I get used to it, my pass will become too angly, that is definitely not what I want.
And again, neither do I want to develop any bad habits.
Help please?

PS:- Am sure you guys understood, but just in case, I just wanted to specify the fact that I am learning the raw classic pass right now, so any moves (like a riffle, dribble or jiggle) which make the sleight tremenduously better have not yet been added and I do not want to bother with them just yet.
Thanks in advance!

What resources are you using to learn the pass from?

The left little finger should be inserted into the break so that the first crease of that finger rests on the side of the cards of the bottom packet. The break is the width of your finger. The left middle and ring fingers should similarly rest on the cards of the top packet. The position of the right hand covers any gap. However, you will have angle problems on the left as you do the move. That can be covered in a number of ways.

What David said is very true.

If you keep your thumb on top of the deck and push down, you can have the break be less visible from the front.

Also, keep a normal break, or a slightly larger than normal break until it is time to do the move. Then you can insert the pinky all the way, or as far as you need to.

Finally, drop your hands to the sides.
