Couples effects

Can anyone point me in the direction of some couples magic (besides anniversary waltz) or give some effects that can be tweaked to have a couples theme? My friends anniversary with his girlfriend is coming up and he asked me to do something special for them and I've already done AW. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have him pick a card and return it to the deck and then have her select his card. Garrett Thomas, B. Smith, Richard Osterlind, and Peter Cassford have some good work on this. Simple effect but for laymen it's a really powerful moment that really brings people together. Twilight Angels is always a winner as well. Every couple I've ever done that for that I've come across later always kept the card.

I wouldn't limit the merge plot to coins, do one with cards (he signs one from a blue backed deck, she signs one from a red backed deck, you press them together, then their one). Before going could be some transpositions, a attempted 'coin snatch' on either, then on the other would set you up for a strong effect.
EDIT: Even a gambling routine could be tweaked to this setting. Have them secretly be partners, one shuffles, the other cuts, first one deals bad hands to all exept them (like KKKK and AAAA), finish off with a transposition of their hands and all other cards turn blank...

I don't do coins, so I'm not limiting myself in that aspect haha. I like the different backed decks though, good idea! I'm starting to get some nice ideas of my own flowing here.

How about silk to panties? Depending on the couple this could be a fun presentation.

I do Election with as a compatability test asking if it is better for a couple to be similar of different. If you are interested, I can send you my patter.

As Mat said, Twilight Angels is perfect.

I once did a transposition of 2 signed cards that also had hearts drawn on them saying something along the lines "you really gave your hearts to one another". It was a simple impromptu transposition that ended with a DL (when revealing the second card), so I just did a second deal to clean up.
Anyway, they really liked the effect and I just wanted to add that whatever you do, keep it simple (not necessarily sleight-wise, but in terms of presentation).

Good luck!

Lots of great ideas here guys! I'm thinking of doing something with a blank deck and having him write her a quick note or something, or how everyone is the same but he stands out, ect. and force his card on her after a few failed attempts. These things can work for my restaurant gig too, since I come across a lot of couples there.
