So... I was at a Hapa (half japanese- half other) event and of course I went prepared to do some magic if requested.
A little bit into the night I was chatting with a few people and they asked me if I wanted to come into the VIP room. As it turns out, they were hired for the night to do a live music performance. So I accompanied them into the back room, had a few drinks, chatted a bit about where everyone was from etc... and out of no where..... David Hasselhoff walks in with his Japanese manager.
Everyone at that point was in major shock, since Baywatch was actually aired in Japan for quite some time, and of course mister Hoff is freaking tall.
So luckily, I was just starting a small set and had finished a few small tricks and apparently caugh the Hoff's eye. I politely invited him over to the table and continued on with an ACR, followed by two signed card transpo (using two of the staff girls as volunteers), but then asked David if he would like to help me with a trick. I told him I wanted to try something a bit different and moved on to perform the signed business card version of Stigmata. I was able to smuggle in a few lines about how his giant, manly, bay watch style life saving hands, had a lot of power and how my wrist really got red etc... (everyone had a nice laugh), and when the initials popped up, the entire room, himself, and even his little Japanese manager / translator, all went crazy.
All in all, a very unexpected, but fully eventul night =).
Here is a picture from afterwards, before Mr Hoff had to leave for the evening.
