Criss Angel - Magician or Manipulator?

Yeah , it hard to believe his "street illusions" after so many cuts for changing angles.

Well Criss Angel is the only magician to have his own successful TV series, he did what he had to do to make that happen. David Blaine tried it using simple street magic, didnt work.

Derren Brown too but of course he hasnt been as successful as Criss, and Blaine didnt really try it but he made an art out of street magic by doing the simpliest tricks out there, filming it and having it broadcasted. still lots of people do know Blaine over here.

That's the thing!! There are NO real spectators on his show. They are ALL stooges. ... Continuous shot cams are not continuous shots.

not ALL of them, but MOST of them. and those continuous shots were continuous, yet not forgetting about the camera trickery they used.

You were talkng about his levitations... well i was just looking around his site because yes i will say i do like him and i am a fan. Back to the levitations. he has a magic kit that is coming out that has a secret pevitation device. then again it might not even be a self levitation device but all i am trying to sayis that it looks like a great buy for 60$ you guys can check it out at his website.

so how many of criss his levitations did actually use that method? I'm sorry to shatter it but most of the levitations he did were and still are completely fake, including the audience which were there. if you know how the levitation you are talking about is done and look how many of the spectators in the videos saw how he did it yet still applauded and said it was the most amazing thing they ever seen, you know what we are talkinga bout.

You have brought up an interesting subject. As a fellow magician I will have to say his work on the "streets", as he calls it, is more of a stage act. I think he is an excellent stage performer but has a mouth as rotten as 300 year old milk. His stage show is, from what I hear, is not that great because you usually go to a magic show for a good time. He uses foul language all the time, which is okay for adults but mainly kids love magic and I don't think he thought about that. Anyways, if I was a layman and thought of Criss Angel I would have to say I would believe everything I see on his TV program. (Assuming I wasn't a skeptic of coarse.)

So to break it down
as a magician- Stage Performer/Actor
as a Layman- street performer/illusionist

i agree but also disagree. i think Criss Angels style has never been suiting younger people/kids, not in Mindfreak and not in his stage shows.

im waiting for the time that Criss just puts a screen on his stage, covering it up by the darkness and doing some video trickery on there too.

I heard the stage show was bad for other reasons.

Him interrupting the show to yell at Perez Hilton for no reason. His props malfunctioning. Which is something I can see happening to somebody who doesn't have a Vegas show.

Also because people go to see MAGIC, not the freaking circus.
