David Blaine's Card Jump

I'm very intrigued in how Blaine does it. He does it all the time in all his shows and it looks amazing.

What is the card move called and what book did he learn it from.

It's Paul Harris Instant Replay, I believe it's on art of astonishment vol. 3 and is also taught on Flourishes 101 on Dan and Dave everything else dvd. Hope this helps.

I don't know about that, it wasn't in Paul Harris Vol. 3. It's just a hard flourish and at the end he turns it into an easy and clever magic trick.

page 115, check again. Its not a hard flourish in itself until you try and do it with both hands in the manner that david blaine presents it. Its a nice little effect he's crafted.

David Blaine performs (both) Instant Replay and Simple Switch from Paul Harris' Art of Astonishment in that video clip. There is no doubt about it. He performs them in essentially the same fashion Paul Harris utilized them in his own work 25+ years ago and as they're published in Art of Astonishment, Book 3. When one card jumps back and forth, it's Instant Replay. When two cards jump simultaneously, it's Simple Switch.

No, the Simpler Switch is more simple than that (hence the name). You can find it on Demand at D&D.

just practice it ALL the time... i learned it from the video just watched it A LOT. It is a kind of trick you have to consistently do or else you will get rusty!
