DeckFive by Daniel Madison

Hi this is my review for DeckFive by Daniel Madison.
Info from d+M site. The 5-way forcing deck... Daniel had 30 decks specially made for a show he produced in 2007, unfortunately none of the decks were ever used for the effects they were designed for, so here they are available for you along with notes from R3man and Daniel himself.

Ok I just got my Deck this morning. When I first opened the packet I saw that the deck was already opened sellophane and seal and i thought mmm. Then out of my surprise i saw a Brown Wynn 8 of Hearts signed by d+M. So when I opened the deck i noticed that alot of the cards were printed off centre, like bicycle seconds. But still felt great. The notes that came along with the deck talk about the "stack" of the deck and some basic handling for it.
Over all I thought it was a good purchase I just think it was a bit over priced.

8.5/10

hey, i also ordered a deck and got a signed 7 of diamonds.

it was a bit pricey but hey, they handle great though.

as the notes do not explain any tricks to do id share what i do.
i simply write down 5 cards and seal them in an envelope and get the spectator to eliminate blocks of cards then chose the final 5 cards, showing that these are 5 random cards that in no way i forced them to pick, then i get them to open the predicition...

i also be a bit cheecky and fan the deck to start with and show the backs are normal and turn over to show the fronts breifly to really create the illusion that everything is normal.

if you feel i have exposed too much, sorry and i will eidt my post.

cheers, shmore

I once found a 52 way forcing deck for two-three dollars. You can buy them at walmart. they come as bees, bikes, generic rite aid brand cards. The only downfall is that they dont come with a signed card from DM. But other than that, I think its worth it. I just bought ten and they are very practical and decent for flourishes. I only use these in magic only because there are multiple gimmicks disguised with the same back

I highly recommend buying one or 12

overall 9.9repeating/10

You obviously don't understand the power of a Xway forcing deck. My mate showed me a funny routine, he did and ACR with a one way forcing deck. It was brilliant. I thought it was all sleight of hand, until he 'magicly' changed all the cards into the 3 of clubs.

There are so many other things you can do with one, just use your imagination. Don't limit your self to just non-gimmicked things, you will be missing out on so much.

Cheers, Tom
