Elastic thread?

Hey, i just bought an effect which needs a gimmick involving elastic thread. I won t tell you what the effect is cuz that would be exposure. But does anyone know a good place to buy some good elastic thread? I dont want invisible Elastic thread though, because those break to easily. Thanks!

Headbands

I have the same effect. I think it is anyway. I found out I can get some from waist bands and headbands. Try stuff like that. Hope I helped.

Most craft stores, fabric stores, or textiles stores will have elastics.
Walmart or what ever should as well.
You could always use Infinity thread which is a three ply invisible elastic

I use nothing but Yigal Mesika's elastic thread. Good stuff.

If elastic thread breaks for you, then you dont know how to use it. It should not break.

I am just pointing out something that might be useful for everyone who wants to help you. What is the trick called?

Is it for a pull? If so i suggest 1/2 flat elastic that can be found at walmart.

Is it for floating things? If so i suggest yigal's iet. for something a bit stronger I suggest the silk worm IET from precisionmagic not black but clear.

also if you want something that is like a pull but is invisible thread I suggest an ITR.

Thanks for the help guys. The kinda of elastic thread i need is thick and stretchy, cuz it needs to withstand some pressure, and it's concealed within the gimmick so it need not be invisible. Yigal's thread is too fragile and wont be able to hold the pressure, plus it doesn't snap back easily.

The effect is somewhat of a rising card effect, so that's why i need stronger thread. Thanks for all the help, i'll look in a fabric store when i get the chance.

ohhh it is that kind of rising card, Go to walmart and ask/look for round elastic you can buy it from any sewing store.
