EMC shipping DVD's to Retailers

Honestly, I could care less that the DVDs are being sold to retailers. If I didn't attend the conference, I probably would eventually buy the set for myself. However, I do believe the attendees of the conference should all receive their sets first. From the looks of it, they shipped all the DVDs at the same time - or even to the retailers first. Since we were promised this set over three months ago, I expected better.

Does it change your life if Joe Somebody gets his DVDs before you? No it does not.
Are you getting a stupid ridiculous deal that is worth waiting for? You bet.
Is this delay worth getting worked up over? Nope.
Their communication could have been better, but other than that, all this nonsense about some nonexistent principle getting violated is just silly.

I am going to agree with one point that Sam Hindrichs said: They said these would be out by the end of 2010. It is March of 2011, and I am still waiting on my DVDs. The fact they are online is great, but I signed up for the DVD copies a year ago. I could careless that others have access to them because Max even mentioned that people would be losing money on this one, so it makes since that there would be an attempt to redeem some funds. Two things that irk me on this one is the lack of communication and the failure to meet the dead line. Good ethics say that if you mess up some where, you should fess up to it, not try to hide it into a corner.

Will I sign up for next years: yes, will I be happy about it... probably not.
