Examining the Deck

So today I performed a new trick with 14 double backed cards and it worked well every time and I got the reaction I wanted. The only issue was that when I was done, everyone wanted to see the deck.

What are the best ways to deter them from that strain of thought or the best excuses as to why I don't want them handling the deck?

Look at how you're presenting it. What in your presentation is making them think of a trick deck?

This time it wasn't my performance because the deck is in their hands for a portion of it. Someone else wanted to do a card trick and I had to tell them no. It was mostly my fault because I didn't have a decent excuse so thats why I made this thread.
