Well i recently received this effect free from Micheal Paul and i gotta say its one of the best effects out there. So without further ado, let's get on with the review (lol, that rhymed).
The Effect:
The magician pulls out his box of cards and as he pulls the cards out of the box, the box vanishes! The magician removes the jokers and advertisement cards from the pack. A card is selected (Ex. Three of Hearts) and put aside. A second card is selected (Ex. King of Clubs) and is written on the first card. So on the table now is a 3H with "King of Clubs" written on it. The magician takes this card, and instantly it vanishes. The spectators start to think "Where did the card go?" But more importantly, where did the box go? The magician ask the spectators to go into the room next door. And in that room, there is a card box. In the card box is a three of hearts. And on the three of hearts it reads "King of Clubs"
The Method
The method is ingenious and this wont be one of those slap-yourself-in-the-face tricks. You do need to set up before hand but it doesn't take that long. You also need to make the gimmicked card box, but that can be made in about 5 minutes. The difficulty of this trick is about 3/10. The best part is, the box can appear anywhere you want!
The Teaching
The teaching is excellent. He goes through everything. He even puts videos on how to make the gimmick and how to vanish the box. He talks about audience management and how to add more impact to the effect
Conclusion
Like i said, this is one of the best tricks i've ever seen. Its practical, fun to do, high impacting, and very easy. The only thing i didn't like was that it was gimmicked. But i'm willing to let it slide because the effect is just too awesome. I don't know if Micheal Paul will still be giving this out, but try your best to get a copy. This is too good to pass off!
Overall rating: 9.5/10
