Which one should I buy?
Gecko: I perform normally in a jacket, I can show my hands empty when I vanish the object, I use my own stuff so I wouldn't have to retrive the vanished object, and It can be done with almost anything.

Tarantula: Clever gimmick, very visual, Invisable gimmick, and is a beutiful effect with many applications yet you are left dirty.

Although I don't own the tarantula, I would agree that the effects marketed with the tarantula can be done with other less expensive methods. I do own the gecko and its great very easy to use once you practice the handling. I have to admit, I don't use the gecko as much as I initially planned before I bought it but when I do use it, it gets great reactions and it is very visual if done right. My vote would be with the gecko
