And I'm really interested in becoming proficient and better at magic. It seems like a really cool thing to be able to do at parties and stuff, but I really need to be able to learn new tricks quickly. So, I was wondering... Does anyone have any good tricks they would like to s***/t****? I can pay lots of money, securely through paypal, or I have loads of good tricks that I can t***** and stuff. Also, I'm looking for good and quick new ways to become good fast, so if anyone has any good tips for me then that'd be great (Again, for a small reward of course)

P.S I can do the SWE shift like a million times better than Chris Kenner. I have video proof (which I can trade for other tricks.)

Thanks in advance.

Big Daddy Smooth.

Oh, so what because I sound the same as another member of the forum you're not going to answer any of my questions or help me at all?

Nice. Real nice.

Yes, but there must be some tricks or tips, surely?

no matter what it takes years of practice to become really good. theres no way of getting there fast. its gonna take a lot of time and a lot of practice

EDIT: also no one trick is gonna make u...amazing. everythings gonna take time and practice. patience is a virtue.

Just so you know trading/selling between members is not allowed on theory11. You can purchase some of the effects off the site itself, but you cannot with other members.

So, could you please edit those parts out of your initial post, or I will have to remove the thread.

Cheers,

Hey man, welcome to the forums.
Now I must warn you, people aren't going to be happy with this. There are quite a few things you're gonna get a lot of rap for.

1: I'm sorry about this, but there is no quick way to become good at magic quickly. The more you practice, the better you become (and that includes performing as well as the sleights). Though if you can do the SWE Shift better than Chris K, surely you know this already?

2: I think I'm talking for everybody here when I say that trading tricks isn't a good practice. People have worked hard to create these tricks, and this is their source of income. There are strong morals in this community regarding exposure/trick trading, and it's not going to go down well with anyone asking for them here, I'm afraid.

That being said, people will quite happily give you tips and advice without asking for a reward here, as that is the main purpose of these forums. There are plenty of magicians here with very sound advice that will happily help you if you ask for advice. And with that being said, hope you have a good time during your stay here! :)

I still don't understand what the problem is with trading tricks.

I mean... I'm paying them and everything.

That's a link to the official forum rules. I didn't make, I just try and enforce them.

On TRADING/SELLING MATERIAL:

* This is a place to discuss magic. We’d prefer that you keep all trading and selling of personal items to other venues. Few people would like to know about your eBay auction for a Chicken McNugget that strangely resembles Chris Kenner’s profile. Actually, I’m lying. That would be insane. I’d bid on it. But a slightly used Invisible Deck? Not so much.

Think of it this way. You create a trick, that you're really pleased with. You finally decide to put it on the market. You get one customer. A few weeks later, you see everyone performing it. But still, only one person has payed for it. You decide to question someone about it, and they say that they did pay for it. And they did. They just didn't pay you. One person has bought your trick and sold it on, reaping the rewards from your hard work. There goes your income.
See where we're coming from?

What a ridiculous justification.

Well, if you want to know the longer more boring version than OK.

If 2 people decide to trade/sell magic and one person sends them funds through PayPal and the other ships the package to the other person 1 of 3 things could happen.

1)Everything works out and everyone is happy.
2)The package doesn't get to it's rightful destination and the person thinks they are scammed
3)The funds sent to the person "bounce" meaning it doesn't process so that person thinks they got scammed.

In a legal situation since theory11 was the place where this trade took place and was initiated they could be held responsible in some way for any mishaps. So, instead of taking a chance, it's better left trading for other places.

Urgh, I don't like the way you've put it, you want to get alot better fast? That's impossible unless you're an invisible ninja pirate. But seriously, if you want to get better, the tricks wont get you there, practise will.

And can you tell me what percentage of the time those different outcomes occur?
