Inseparable pair in Bobo's book needs modifications!

Anyways...
Am sure you guys have the Modern Coin Magic by J.B. Bobo. There's a trick in coins across section called the 'Inseparable pair'.
Now, I really love that principle and I love performing it as well.
But crossing the hands just seem pointless! But that's so necessary to have the desired effect!
Can anyone suggest a way so that I can perform the effect with the same principle but WITHOUT crossing my hands?
Or maybe hinting at a slightly different principle? Like, much the same thing, but with modern modifications?
Cause that small blemish makes it really unnatural to perform this smart effect.

There is a video series that goes with this book. Have you had a chancr to view it and see if they talk about changes? I can give it a look and see and let you know.

I am not entirely sure of what you are talking about (I don't have BoBo)

But if it isn't part of the sleight(s) and is just a performance part or something, you don't need to do it. Infact, it's better if you take the trick or effect and change it and make it yours.
