International Performance Day - November 1st

Hello all,
International performance day is coming up on Nov the 1st. This day means that every magician goes out and performs as much as they can, all day.
So on Nov the 1st, go out and show your stuff and put out a better name for all the magicians, because magic doesn't happen on a computer screen, it happens in the eyes of your spectators.

Thats going to shock a hell of a lot of people on this site...

For those of you that dont perform (for actual people) think about it like this, everything about performing you learn in about 10 hours on a forum, can be learned in about 15 minutes of performing. When your online, you are talking about ideal situations or hypothetical situations, and assuming that everyone is the same. When you get out and perform you will learn so much that you could never learn in a forum. Things like audience management, not just knowing who to perform for but how to keep them interested and involved. Sure someone can tell you to "joke lightly with them and make small talk, but dont get too far from the trick or they will loose interest". But how do you do that? the only way you can learn things like this is to do it, not sit at your computer waiting for someone else to tell you about THEIR experiences.

I like the idea of an international performance day. I wish more people knew about it though. This is the first I hear of it, none the less I will get out and perform.
