Hey guys. I just got home from school and was browsing through TV Shows when I came across Disney Channel. Justin Kredible was performing on the Suite Life On Deck! (I think that's what it's called). Did anyone know Justin was performing on Disney Channel? Trying to attract more kids to magic? Let me know what you guys think and tell all of us if well known magicians should try and reach out to younger kids to try and get them into magic.

What do you guys think?

Where could this lead to?

Post responses below!

Cheers,

Casey Rudd

I didn't see the episode but I think I heard my sisters watching it earlier. Is it the one where that like rich girl gets hypnotized?

Its the one I think where the rich girl is jealous of Justin's assistant. The rich girl sends her away and becomes his crappy assistant who ruins the show. But there was some great magic on there. He used some card manipulation and appearing canes, and a cool trick where he takes the guys hanky, makes it disappears, cracks an egg on the guys head and the yolk is the hanky. I just kept watching it to see the magic. haha.

Hahaha, where were you when THIS was posted in the media section...?

Perhaps a search may be of use once in a while.

Excuse me. That was posted all the way back in September. Stop telling people to use the search function, thats what all these threads get flooded up with. Im not as concerned with him performing on disney channel, I'm creating a discussion about reaching out to kids if you read my WHOLE post.

I wonder what you would say to Jay Sankey having his own kids magic show (at least in Canada)...;)

yeah,old news.
Its no suprise. Its always the most popular or common way of getting into magic.
Kid sees a magician on t.v.,streets,birthday,etc. and decides to become one.

Sunrise,sunset. Its great.

.....

Magic for children is nothing new. Plenty of magicians got their start as children, typically using inexpensive kits with badly written instructions. Books, kits, and performances for children go back well beyond this.

Seriously... what's the big deal of Justin performing on this Disney show?

and copperfield was on scrubs.
And Harry Anderson, whose name is on his own brand of needle-through-arm and who had a well known 3 card monte routine, wound up the star of a long lasting romantic sitcom.

But I was really focusing on youth-oriented television. A paid performer being paid to perform, and getting to add a popular Disney show to his resume no less, makes a great deal of sense.

Justin is also the host of the new show Cupcake Wars on the Food Network. Awesome show. Not magic related in any way, but I think that's a good thing - it shows that Justin has enough of a radiant persona and personality that he can stand alone with no tricks involved. I think that's something that everyone that calls themselves a performer should aspire to.
