Amidst all your hard working I have had a thought, Within the holiday spirit there is a great tradition that we all love and I havn't seen mentioned...............
BOXING DAY, I was wondering if there would be any form of boxing day sale? I am hopeing for money for X-mas and don't want to miss any sales, are there any thoughts of a boxing day sale floating around?

In other words...whats a Canada?

Just kidding bro, but in the US we really don't celebrate boxing day (heck, I don't even know what it represents) and the Theory11 HQ is located in New York, but I think you're right, we should have a boxing day sale.

I hate Christmas sales! I don't get any money BEFORE Christmas!

Baseball is boring, its just stats.

J.

Your obviously not watching it right then. Let's see much like chess there's strategy, planning, and baseballs alot more physical then people give it credit for not to mention it's an american pastime plus in baseball there's no lie if you suck you suck there's no falling back on the rest of the guys when you just couldn't pull your weight. Baseballs can be boring to watch on TV but in person its on of my favorite things to spend my day doing. As for being just stats that can go for just about any sport just let me watch some hockey, football, and baseball and a few beers that's all I need. What is Boxing Day?

Someone should tell that bunny there's a pancake on its head.

Cricket > Baseball.
AFL > Gridiron.

Cricket is much more fun than baseball because that's a whole lot more dangerous.

I think Boxing day is this http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Boxingday

If you've never played baseball past Pony League then nobody expects you to REALLY know how to play the sport. I like both sports, why can't someone like both? Does something always have to be better?

By the way Sherlock: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+do+I+use+the+space+bar?

If you're going to google something for me, make sure I don't have to click the "did you mean Boxing Day?"

;)

T11 isnt located in Ny. if it was i would get my packages better.
and if it was. then the staff would have way more fun in the snow than they do in NV. but thats just My Opinion
And isnt boxing day like right after christmas? why not just use the christmas deals? they are good for anyone.
also, there usually are after christmas sales (which i think is a bigger celebrated "holiday" in america than boxingday, so maybe that. but yea.

Whatever, America's oldest sport is and will always be Lacrosse (that's right, played before it was 'America'.)

Baseball and cricket both have merit, being an American I have better access to Baseball so I know it better. It is definitely the most individualistic sport in America, I played for years and everyone always complains about that one guy who gets game time but doesn't put effort into it.

As far as boxing day goes, you've got my attention, we could always use another holiday. :)

Boxing Day isn't so much a celebrated holiday...it's more or less a day for sales, like Black Friday in the US. We don't put much weight on the whole Thanksgiving thing here, it's more or less a "get together with the family and eat some turkey day", so our sale follows a holiday we do care a lot about, and that's Christmas. Boxing Day tends to be the busiest day for shopping in Canada. In fact, they've been stretching out the sale period for a while now, with it recently stretching to a whole Boxing Week sale in most stores (at least in the malls). The week after Christmas is the time to do your shopping here.

I think the logic behind it is that the stores want to get rid of the stuff they overstocked for Christmas (and just their stock in general, so they can make room for new stuff), so they offer ridiculous deals, beyond the deals one normally finds leading up to Christmas.

Also, hockey > any other sport. Of course, this one will vary depending on the person, given that it's an opinion, but yeah. ;)

I can see why only us Americans would celebrate thanksgiving...despite it's twisted meaning historically. "Hey look a truce, these people taught us to farm and live off the land..(a few years later) let's kill them off and take over!" :)

I think America does this as well, just not under any name. Everything goes on sale to make way for next seasons merchandise, it's like buying Halloween candy on November the 1st.

Also, hockey > any other sport. Of course, this one will vary depending on the person, given that it's an opinion, but yeah. ;)
To each their own, however hockey has a lot more in common with lacrosse than any other sport.

Line changes for one, use of sticks to control the ball (though in different ways) another, violent in nature (more so than any other sports).

I like hockey, but live in the south where there is none, and almost no lacrosse. So I chose to play the one more readily available (despite it's scarcity.)

Oh, and I'll be playing indoor soccer in January, surprised to see no one threw it into the mix.

At this time, there are no current plans for a theory11 Boxing Day sale (though, we must admit, Boxing Day sounds much cooler than 'The Day After Christmas'). Our holiday promotions will run through the 31st, so be sure to check 'em out: http://www.theory11.com/giftguide

That said, this thread has gotten a bit off topic. Since your question has been addressed, I'm going to go ahead and close it before there's any further debate regarding whether or not Baseball is better than Cricket. ;)
