Ouch... I think you're overdoing the publicity, Matt. You're boasting bout this everywhere! You're even playing friendly on exposure sites!
I am not on exposure "sites" I have a presence on "one" such site and their are several reasons I do. In my experience, the solution to exposure is presence and congeniality. It is much harder to talk about someone behind their back, when they are in the room with you. That is my philosophy on the one site you are refferring to. I am absolutely against exposure, but I believe one of the reasons for exposure is that the youth have a skewed view of what is right and wrong and a lack of understanding that exposure hurts real people. Instead of ignoring them and hoping they go away, I have treated them with dignity and tried to show them another way, at the same time as making myself a real person in their eyes. That is why I sometimes drop in on their forum.
Regarding the publicity, I am excited about this effect and want people to know about this. If you know my history at all, you will know I am an honest, standup guy who backs my products 110% and the people who buy them.
I am always responsive and I actually care about the people out there who use my effects. I am not just a fly by night , make a buck and disappear, creator. I believe others will vouch for the truth of this. Letting people know about an illusion is essential for its survival, and as long as I am not being obnoxious or a jerk, I believe talking about it on a couple sites is common practice and perfectly acceptable. The magic community is small. I believe I am discussing this on about 4-5 places on the web. I am excited about releasing this effect and love all you guys and hearing your thoughts and answering your questions. That is why I am here.
