Magic Apps?

Hi Guys!

I got an Ipod touch for christmas and downloaded some magic apps yesterday: Chris Kenners rising card and Martys Coin.

I was wondering what other magic apps people have and if they can recommend any. I want to turn my ipod into a weapon for magic!

Thanks,

Simon_Magic

Try out the search feature, there are a number of threads on the subject, including review threads. :)

Also, my top pick would be the iForce app. :)

Check out David Blaines app called street magic. Its awsome.

blaine's app is glitchy as heck and freezes way to much and they have yet to update it and fix the bugs. i would skip it till they fix it.

check out Iforce, its a great mentalism app that is really easy, and Magic Wallet is amazing to use for a coin routine, i just wish they would include some other coins like half dollar and silver dollars.

Check out my effect - Scribbles of Destiny - in the January 2010 issue of Genii Magazine. It uses a doodle application on an iPhone/iPod Touch that you can download for FREE!

None yet have realized that there might be something tricky about phone apps? Like, a dude in the bushes could have sent you a text message etc.? I never thought they were strong magic, at least the way they are going.

I do have CK's Rising Card and iForce...

But I would NEVER use these APPs as stand alone effects. "Electronic Magic" seems shady even to ME and I am a magician...lol

So I tend to use them alongside other effects I am performing to tie in the iPhone in some way...
But that is just me...

Said it before me, they are a great little effect along the side but nothing I would use as the body of a performance

Personally, I use the iForce when I'm 'caught off guard'. I would mention how normally I'd have them write their prediction on a piece of paper, but I don't exactly prepare myself everytime I step out of the house...oh, we'll just use my iPod Touch, I believe I have a Doodle app on there... ;)

Of course, I wouldn't perform this for a professional gig or anything like that, but rather for an intimate group setting with people I either know, or am somewhat acquainted with.

Also, I don't frame it like I'm reading minds or anything silly like that. Being a Psychology/Sociology student (I graduate university this year, yay), I use that to my advantage and draw on that. :)
