It's not. Magic is a collection of skills/tools that can be used to create art.
My opinion is that any kind of Art is magical, Art awakes feelings, emotions, inspires... I think that using art you can create Magic and that Art is a form of Magic. True is that you need a set of skills/tools for any form of Art but in the end the effect of your piece is what matters and what defines your piece and yourself as an artist/creator.

When people say something is “an art”, they usually mean it’s a craft requiring skill or practice. A magical performance can have artistic merit, but not all do. The practice of the craft of magic is 90% learning and practice, isolated in your study- and that means 90% of magic isn’t strictly art- it’s craft.
In my opinion, magic is a craft that can be elevated to art by the skill and dedication of elite performers.
