Mentalism, Derren Brown, and Jay Sankey...

So basically I saw on a video recently the effect where one spectator is touched and the other feels it or someone feels a touch when the performer hasn't touched them at all. Similar to the Derren Brown effect. (I'm not a perv honest  )

Also I was intrigued by the idea of making someone forget a thought; memory lapse, from this Sankey DVD. Again not to far from Derren Brown's trains of thought I guess.

Right, to the questions:
1. Can anyone recomend where to get the first effect, or the principles behind it?
2. Thoughts on 22 blows to the head? Memory Lapse in particuleur.
3. Any recomended material of this type?
4. Any suggested extra reading on this kinda thing? Reckon I might hit up the libary, try and find some suggestion, body language, nlp kinda books.

Many thanks in advance for attempting to answer my big ol' list of questions and sorry for sounding like a wannabe.

Thanks!

In the not to distant future
the derren brown effect is called invisible touch and i believe that it is taught in absolute magic. im not sure about it though... invisible touch is an old effect and i have seen many variations of it. im sure if you look hard enough, you will find it. as for books if you can get pure effect. pure awesomeness. extra info on tricks like this, you would not find in your local library. except for NLP which would be in psychology. nlp will not allow you to perform tricks like this but is used to trigger images and memory in people. hope that helps and good luck.

The routine you're looking for is Steve Banachek's "PK Touches", which was released as a comb bound booklet years back. Good luck finding it now. My advice would be to try and ebay it.

As far as making spectators forget... there's a couple of routes you could go. One of which will be my new audio book, "Real Mind Control", which will be out Mid-January. Others include basic hypnosis, or even "tricks", in which the spectator doesn't actually forget, but is led to believe he has. Perhaps he can chat more if you'd like to pm me.

There's also SHivers by Gary Sumpter and Lior Manor's Invisible Touch. I personally think Banachek's is the best though. Oh Kenton Knepper has one in Miracles of Suggestion I believe (not sure of the title).

As for memory lapses, Luke Jermay has his RGM in 7 Deceptions/Skullduggery

That's great, thanks for all the responses guys. I'll have a look for Banachek's PK touches.

And I know, No informtion on tricks and stuf in the libary but I just mean maybe books on suggestion and stuff try and get a basis for the whole psychological side.

Also I've watched a few Luke Jermay videos, and he's great, is 7 deceptions a book or DVD or what, and what's it like?

Michael, I'll be hitting you with a PM :)

Again, thanks so much for all the help.

EDIT: Watched some more Luke Jermay stuff... Looks amazing, is the skill level high?
