Mentalism

What is your favorite all around PK effect. What i mean is what is the best PK item in your opinion that i able to do multiple effects: PK ring (if so which one?), the M5 or something similar, or something like Loops. Basically, I'm expanding in magic and want to get into some mentalism. I have really only been focusing on card magic and cardistry. I am probably already getting "13 steps to mentalism" and a few d+M products. Any suggestions for products? (for example, Paper Crane's "fall" or "technique". I also plan on getting some 1 on 1's with a mentalism feel ( i just got Blind).

I like loops the best. I believe they hit the hardest on lay-men and you can do alot with them.

PK rings - great for magic, but not for actual PK effects in my opinion. They are not very strong, and it would raise suspicion because of how close you have to hold it.
M5 - no clue, do not own it, do not plan on owning it.
Loops - great fun, not really mentalism or pk. depending on how you present it.

Suggestions - I just posted this. Practical mental effect - Theodore Anneman. Fundamentals - bob cassidy. Great books to get along with 13 steps.

Well, you say you own blind. get some books, test the waters to see if enjoy mentalism and then worry about getting new effects. The effects in the books that i have suggested in this thread and previous threads are effects that i will always use in my show. If you want to talk about mentalism, pm me. I've been doing it for almost 6 years.

If you're starting off in Mentalism... Well there are many threads regarding advice, so have a look. The most common and probably best suggestions (by no means a definitive group) would be along the lines of Bob Cassidy's Fundamentals, Corinda's 13 Steps, Annemann's Practical Mental Magic, and then go from there.
