a lot of people are quick to talk about the effect and zero in on it...not only was it clean and practical...its seems you....people don't often look at that.....thats nothing against you its a good thing i'm saying....i mean i can't invision myself doing mentalism like Dee Christopher....its not me...that effect matches you....its your style, your look, your peformance and the whole nine....you stuck to your character and did a good job of projecting yourself through it.....
You might want to check this out. It looks incredibly similar to a couple of versions from this DVD. http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/product.php?productid=8950&cat=0&page=1
Also, as a suggestion, don't pull them apart so quickly. It currently almost tips the method the fact that they come apart so easily. I think you'll find many laypeople will be able to quickly reverse engineer this. Maybe you could give a couple of shorter tugs to show that the band is truly on there to begin with, then apparently put much more effort into actually pulling them apart?

Goodness whenever I hear What's Up People, I think of Deathnote. Glad to know there are other metal heads around here.
The effect looks very interesting and pretty damn clean, great job.
