My Website

Hi Guys,

I am having a website created. Here is the Link:

http://www.pchelpforyou.co.uk/magic

I got the Idea from Yigal Mesika's website.

It is on a budget of £400.

If you have any advice give it. Let me know what you think of it.

Also if you can think of how it can look better that would help, rather than just slating it. If you don't like it, tell me why and what you think i could do to change it.

Thanks,

I feel it not being a magicians website.
Aside from that,

the colors are way off. I hate the orange in the inner part of the page, its unreadable. Also black on a dark background = no good. The black texts are totally unreadable and you have to really focus to get the sentences.

I feel that the innerpart need some work. The colors are off and the feel is not a magicians site feel. Its more of an everyday webpage.

We decided that it sounded good. When I give out my buisness card and people see it, they sound more interested.

I must admit that when I first agreed to having Street Magic on my card and part of my logo, I was a bit worried that people would think I was the next David Blaine, but so far it has worked to my advantage.

A good question though, Thanks Chris!

the first thing i thought when i saw the site is: "This is a magician's site?" sorry but i feel like its more of a lawyer feel. I mean of course if you look at every aspect of the site you'll know but imo it should be more creative. This is just like every other site when people are trying to get buisness. What is so special about this site that people will look it up or search for it and well... ofcorse want to have you at their event?

I am studying marketing alot so I just wanted to give you some tips.

You can certinly have a corporate and professional looking website without it appearing too cliche magical.

I can't place my finger on it, but something just needs to be added to make this feel more like a magicians website. Maybe more photos? I don't know. I'm just telling you what my initial gut reaction is.

You need boarders around your site. I don't like how it just runs off the edge of my moniter. It really makes me feel like there is still information that I can't read because my screen isn't optimized to view it correctly.

Your Information Text Box with the red font labeling you as a quarter finalist in britans got tent program is off center and needs to be located at the far left. There is too much negative space past the box on the left side of it.

Consider adding a photo gallery of some of your performances, especially if you have photos with important or famous people.

Consider adding a teaser 3 minute promotional video that people can view on your site to get a feel for what you can do.

Consider adding a Biography page or at the very least a viewable resume of your talents and where you've performed. No this isn't redundant with your quotes and testimonials.
