Yea I did. Kinda boring, as I'm pretty sure most people know how to do this classic. Plus...it's another one about cards. They really need to do something in the coin section or the general magic section... Oh well, I guess it's good for people who don't know how to do it...
I agree the 1-on-1s focus too heavily on cards, but I think this is a good 1-on-1 to put up for those who don't know it or use it. It's an awesome and easy impromptu effect.
They do a lot of Card magic 1 on 1's because card magic is easier to teach than other things. I do wish they would show some Mentalism and not with cards. I mean actual mentalisim. Predictions, Billets, etc etc.
I am quite happy they don't have any pure mentalism 1-on-1's.
Billet work is something that you have to learn from experience. You cannot teach the most important part of billet work and that is to be natural. For those serious about billet there are many places to look that are easy enough to find, Switchcraft is one combine that with Osterlinds CT and I am not sure what else you need. (In all fairness you don't even need a CT if you can master the switch methods + justifications.)

I think they should have a mentalism 1-on-1 about, say, the center tear or ashes on arm, something like that. Way more coin/general.

Yeah, I use to be quite excited about the new 1 on 1s but now it's just like.. "eh".
I just want something that hasn't been published in 10 billion other things. Something new, original and badass! Like when Watermark came out, I was jumping walls man! Now it's all color changes that are ok and things that pretty much everyone knows.... eh oh well. I know the theory11 crew is doing their best.

Lol, just because you know the method to the trick doesn't mean you know everything, or even enough to be performance ready with the trick. I didn't purchase the download, but for all I know, he could teach stuff that has never been explored and it could be a great download. But what is holding you back? Because you know the method?
I dont think they will get many sales for this one.

I think it was an OK idea. But Theory11 tends to often suffer from the idea that quantity equals quality. Which it doesn't.
Card from Mouth is very old effect and as Visual artist said. It's pretty much in literally every book on card magic you can find.
Card College V5 teaches the move.
Hugard and Braues book also teaches it.

I'm assuming they continue to put out card 1-on-1's because this is a card site, as it says "Cardistry Epicenter", but I could be wrong. I agree they should broadden the scope of 1-on-1's.
